A code yellow weather warning covers the entire country this Sunday afternoon as snow and ice arrive. The KNMI expects snow to fall in the south-west first. The weather front then moves across the rest of the nation. Meteorologists warn that a layer of snow will cause slippery road conditions. A thaw begins in the south-west during the evening. However, icy patches will persist in the north-east until Monday morning.
The warning starts at 14:00 in Zeeland, South Holland, and North Brabant. These provinces expect the alert to end later tonight. In Groningen, Drenthe, Overijssel, and the Wadden Islands, the alert begins at 18:00. These northern areas remain under warning until 04:00 on Monday.
