More than 17,000 fans traveled by train to Zandvoort between 7:00 and 9:00 AM on Saturday for the Dutch Grand Prix weekend, prompting NS to run extra trains every five minutes from Amsterdam Central. The early start of the race and a 50% discount for passengers arriving before 9:00 AM contributed to passenger numbers being more than double those of the same period last year.

Rail services from the Netherlands to Berlin will be rerouted via Hamburg from October due to long-term rail works between Hanover and Berlin, increasing journey times by about an hour and reducing direct Berlin services from five to four daily.
