NS: over 17,000 fans transported to Zandvoort on Saturday for last Dutch Grand Prix

More than 17,000 fans traveled by train to Zandvoort between 7:00 and 9:00 AM on Saturday for the Dutch Grand Prix weekend, prompting NS to run extra trains every five minutes from Amsterdam Central. The early start of the race and a 50% discount for passengers arriving before 9:00 AM contributed to passenger numbers being more than double those of the same period last year.
