Eindhoven is set to transform into its traditional Carnival persona this week with a packed schedule of parades, music, and themed parties. From the famous Saturday procession to a unique Pride celebration, the city offers a wide range of events for both residents and visitors.

Political parties in Eindhoven are pushing for more public toilets after women faced 30-minute waits during last year's carnival. The proposal includes free facilities, accessible options for disabled visitors, and gender-neutral toilets for major city events. As the festival kicks off next Friday, councillors hope to avoid the long queues seen in previous years.

Eindhoven activist group Dolle Mina has released a new carnival song calling for a safer, more respectful party culture. “Nie Graaie Mar Zwaaie” is a cheerful dialect sing-along that speaks out against groping during carnival. Singer Odet Rosenkrantz is also competing with the track in Omroep Brabant’s “Kies je Kraker” contest.
