Airlines worldwide are cancelling flights to the Middle East this Saturday following attacks by Israel and the United States on Iran. KLM has cancelled its service to Tel Aviv, while several other major carriers have introduced similar measures.
Air France has decided to stop flights to Beirut in Lebanon. Meanwhile, Lufthansa has suspended its services to Tel Aviv, Beirut, Amman, and Dubai for the next few days. Japan Airlines cancelled a flight from Tokyo Haneda to Doha on Saturday and the return leg on Sunday. Wizz Air announced it will immediately stop all flights to and from Israel, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Amman.+1
A number of airlines also plan to avoid specific airspaces in the region. Lufthansa will not fly through Israeli, Lebanese, Jordanian, Iraqi, or Iranian airspace until 7 March. Virgin Atlantic has also confirmed that it will temporarily avoid using Iraqi airspace.
