KNMI has issued a code yellow warning for Tuesday afternoon in the western and central regions of the country due to the risk of slippery conditions. The northeast is already under a similar warning. Temperatures on Tuesday afternoon could drop to freezing, especially in the evening and on Wednesday. In the north and northeast, there is a significant risk of widespread slipperiness caused by sleet, which could lead to accidents on surfaces such as bike paths, footpaths, and bridges. These icy conditions in the north might persist until Wednesday morning.
In contrast, the south is experiencing rain, so conditions are not expected to be slippery. The warning does not cover Zeeland, North Brabant, and Limburg.
