Eindhoven hospitality businesses raided in money laundering investigation

Share

Police raided two hospitality businesses on Kruisstraat in Eindhoven on Tuesday morning as part of a major money-laundering investigation. The premises involved are a burger restaurant and an adjacent ice cream parlour. The burger restaurant had already been shut down by the local municipality after the building was shot at in December 2025.

Both properties are currently being cleared by authorities. Investigators have seized kitchen equipment along with the administrative records of both businesses. Despite the scale of the operation, no arrests have been made in connection with the investigation so far.

The raid was conducted under Project Aurora, a joint initiative involving the municipality, the Public Prosecution Service, the police, and the tax authorities. The area surrounding Kruisstraat and Woenselse Markt has historically struggled with criminal activity, public nuisance, and disturbances to order. Through Project Aurora, authorities aim to dismantle organised crime by identifying and breaking down local criminal networks.
