Damage reports from Drenthe earthquake rise to more than 100

More than 100 reports of damage have been filed after an earthquake near Geesbrug, according to the Institute for Mining Damage Groningen. The tremor occurred overnight from Friday to Saturday at the Elvelde gas field in the province of Drenthe. The earthquake had a magnitude of 3.0.

The earthquake struck at a depth of three kilometres, which meant the tremors were strongly felt. Most of the damage reports came from the municipality of Assen, where 84 reports were submitted. The damage mainly concerns cracks and other problems on the inside and outside of homes.
