OIRSCHOT – Fire was observed again on Saturday afternoon near Oirschot in a nature reserve where a fire had previously raged. This was reported by the Southeast Brabant Safety Region(veiligheidsregio van Zuidoost-Brabant).
According to the fire department, they only had to extinguish the last remnants, although that will take some time. “The fire is under control and will not spread further.”
There have been more fires near Oirschot in recent days, including in the nature reserve near Middelbeers where this fire also raged.
Further to the east, a large fire broke out on Thursday while soldiers were practising on the Oirschotse Heide. This fire broke out on Saturday morning reports the Brabant-East Marechaussee(Marechaussee Brabant-Oost). “The fire department was quickly on the scene and managed to get the fire under control.”
