Municipalities across the Netherlands are adjusting waste collection schedules because of the expected high temperatures in the coming days. Garbage trucks will start their rounds earlier so employees can finish work before the hottest hours. Recycling centres and drop-off points will also close around midday, similar to earlier heatwaves this summer.
In Midden-Groningen, containers for plastic, metal packaging, and drink cartons will be emptied from 06:00 on Monday and Tuesday. Other waste types will be collected from 07:00. Oss and Goirle are also starting at 06:00, while Maashorst, Son en Breugel, and Meierijstad will begin at 06:30. R
