Prime Minister Rob Jetten says that his frequent use of AI for social media posts does not damage his credibility. He told the media on Thursday that he considers the criticism unfounded. “I really think that is nonsense”, Jetten said. “Three‑quarters of Dutch people use AI as a tool every day. And that applies to us in our daily work as well”.
According to De Volkskrant, Jetten and his party D66 use artificial intelligence on a large scale for posts on X, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. The newspaper reports that AI was also used for sensitive topics, including a message about a visit to the Westerbork Camp Memorial Centre.
Jetten says that you must always think carefully about what you want to say before creating a message. He also emphasises that every post must be checked before it is published. Despite the criticism, he plans to continue using AI for these types of communications. “Absolutely”, he confirmed.
