The Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) is warning consumers about five libido‑enhancing products: LibiForMe, Mr Stiff (in liquid form and as capsules), Night Longer Mixed Herbal Blend, and Ayibogan Natural.
The NVWA says its laboratory tests found sildenafil, tadalafil, and morphine in these products. The authority warns that these substances can cause serious health problems. Reported side effects include chest pain, a rapid heartbeat, headache, stomach upset, muscle pain, dizziness, and blurred vision. The NVWA also says these substances can lower blood pressure when people combine them with certain medications for heart patients. It urges anyone who experiences side effects after using the products to contact a doctor.
The products appear on various websites. The NVWA advises consumers not to buy or use them.
