Cinema chain Pathé will add extra IMAX screenings of The Odyssey during the night and early morning over the coming weeks. The chain aims to meet strong demand for tickets. Pathé Arena in Amsterdam plans two screenings on 7 and 8 August at 8:00 AM. Pathé Schouwburgplein in Rotterdam will run late-night screenings at 11:30 PM during the upcoming weekends.
A spokesperson said Pathé has never organised night and morning screenings so regularly in the Netherlands. “Interest in The Odyssey remains unprecedented,” the spokesperson said.
The film follows Greek military leader Odysseus as he travels home after the fall of Troy. Matt Damon, Tom Holland and Anne Hathaway play the leading roles.
