The man who assaulted a bus driver in broad daylight in Rotterdam last Friday is also suspected of attacking the same driver earlier. The previous assault took place on Saturday 7 March, police said on Sunday. An image of the suspect has now been released in the hope that he will be recognised.
During the earlier incident on 7 March, the bus driver asked the man, who had boarded at the stop on Abtsweg, to get off because he had not checked in. The man then became aggressive and punched the driver, police said.
Last Friday, the man boarded the bus again at the stop on Kleinpolderplein, where the driver recognised him. The driver wanted to report this to colleagues, but the man then punched him several times.
Police are looking for witnesses to both assaults.
