Heavy thunderstorms are set to sweep across virtually all of the Netherlands on Friday afternoon, prompting the KNMI to issue a code yellow warning for every province.
According to the meteorologists, shower fronts travelling from the south-west to the north-east will cross the nation before clearing out by the evening. The KNMI has warned of potential localised hazards including strong wind gusts, hail, and torrential downpours over a brief period, with a risk of trees being uprooted.
This follows a separate yellow alert already put in place by the institute overnight Thursday into Friday as an earlier band of storms passed through.
