Electric bus manufacturer Ebusco continues to face severe financial troubles. In its latest half-year results, the company said that while efforts to improve its situation have made significant progress, its financial position remains severely constrained. Ebusco noted that these conditions create uncertainty over whether it can continue operating.
The news follows an announcement on Monday that Ebusco lost a key German order for 23 buses. The public transport operator for the city of Potsdam cancelled the contract, citing missed delivery deadlines. According to the German customer, Ebusco repeatedly delayed delivery dates and could no longer credibly guarantee that it would meet revised timelines.
Cancelled orders and production delays have previously placed the Deurne-based manufacturer under heavy financial pressure.
