SDK Vastgoed and A.S.R Real estate has signed a purchase agreement for the PULSE residential building at Strijp-S in Eindhoven. A.S.R Real Estate is acquiring the project on behalf of the ASR Dutch Core Residential Fund.
The 24-storey building will provide 176 rental properties across a wide variety of housing types. These include mid-sector homes, helping to expand the supply of future-proof rental housing in the city. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2026, with completion expected in 2028.
Designed by Office Winhov, the building reflects the industrial architecture of the former Philips site. The design features a varied living programme and includes commercial units and “maker spaces” on the ground floor. The facade will also feature an art installation by Jan van der Ploeg.
The project aims to align with the character of the design district, which integrates living, working, and creativity. Ferdinand Gremmen, director of SDK Vastgoed, emphasised that the building focuses on the relationship between home and work.
As the area developer, SDK Vastgoed will remain responsible for the maker spaces in the coming years. Gremmen noted that this supports the local ecosystem of creative entrepreneurs. The deal marks a new step in developing Strijp-S phase 4 into a mixed-use, modern urban area.
