Veldhoven to host public meeting on futuristic home heating measures

Share

The Municipality of Veldhoven is organising an information session at Theatre de Schalm on Thursday, 12 March, to discuss the future of the local energy system. An independent research agency will present initial findings from a study that explored how homes and buildings can be heated as the town moves towards 2050.

The meeting aims to inform residents and local stakeholders about various technical scenarios and the infrastructure required to transition away from natural gas. As sustainable energy sources become more critical and overall energy demand increases, the municipality is working to ensure the local grid remains future-proof.

During the session, the research agency will explain the available choices and potential consequences for the Veldhoven area. There will be significant time allocated for attendees to ask questions and provide feedback. These comments will be collected and included in a final report that will help guide Veldhoven’s long-term strategy to become a gas-free municipality.

Residents interested in the technical aspects of this transition are encouraged to attend. The two-hour meeting starts at 16:00. Those wishing to participate can register by emailing duurzaam@veldhoven.nl.
