Wibra recorded another record year in 2025, with both turnover and the number of stores continuing to rise. Turnover increased by more than a quarter to €362 million compared with the previous year. The company also opened 63 new stores, bringing its total to 360 branches.
Higher sales at existing stores and the opening of new locations drove the revenue growth. Operating profit rose by more than a quarter to just over €16 million.
Most branches are located in the Netherlands, where Wibra operated 287 stores in 2025. Belgium had 71 stores, and France had 2. Wibra entered the French market in 2024 with its first branch.
Wibra says the results show that investments in stores, logistics, and refining the retail formula match the needs of households in the Netherlands, Belgium, and France.
The workforce grew to more than 2,760 employees last year. At the start of this year, Wibra commissioned a new distribution centre in Apeldoorn and introduced its first fully electric truck. More electric vehicles will follow later this year.
CEO Bas Duijsens says he sees further opportunities for growth in all three countries. Wibra is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year. Founder Jo Wierdsma opened the first store in Epe, Gelderland, in 1956.
