The KNMI has issued a yellow alert for Overijssel, Gelderland, Utrecht, North Brabant and Limburg on Monday afternoon. The institute says no warnings apply for the next few hours. Later this afternoon and evening, showers will develop in the south, centre and east of the country. These may include local thunderstorms and heavy rain. The weather could affect Remembrance Day events and road traffic.
According to the KNMI, intense showers may form from 4:00 PM. Some areas could see 20 to 30 millimetres of rain. Local thunderstorms are also possible. The showers will weaken and become less frequent later in the evening.
