Security failure triggers legal restrictions
The technical glitch prevented the airport from guaranteeing complete security screening for hold baggage between 09:15 and 10:20. Aviation law strictly prohibits loading unchecked luggage onto aircraft without performing fresh security checks. While Ryanair chose to depart immediately without passenger bags, competing airlines Transavia and TUI delayed their departures to re-screen all luggage.
