Employees at Etos, Kruidvat, and Holland & Barrett will strike again this Saturday, trade union FNV announced. According to the union, staff will refuse to sell sunscreen and other essential products that day, despite the expected high temperatures. This will be the second strike in a short period. Last Sunday, during the “Father’s Day strike”, drugstore employees also stopped working.
FNV says it is dissatisfied with the employers’ proposals in the ongoing collective labour agreement negotiations for drugstore workers. A key point of contention is the employers’ plan to cut the Sunday pay supplement by half.
