Pilots at Lufthansa will strike on Monday and Tuesday, the Cockpit union announced. They want a better pension scheme and a new collective labour agreement. Pilots at CityLine, Eurowings and Lufthansa Cargo will also join the action.
Cockpit says Lufthansa has not taken enough steps to resolve “various collective labour disputes.” Cabin crew already staged a strike on Friday, which led to hundreds of cancelled flights. It marked the airline’s third major strike this year.
Lufthansa will continue flights to several destinations in the Middle East, which the strike does not affect.
