NXP reports higher revenue and profit

Chipmaker NXP Semiconductors, based in Eindhoven and listed on the New York Stock Exchange, reported higher revenue and profit for the first quarter of this year, the company announced on Tuesday.

Revenue came in at $3.2 billion (around €2.7 billion), an increase of 12 percent compared to the same period last year. Compared with the previous quarter (Q4 2025), revenue declined by 5 percent. Net profit rose 15 percent year-on-year to $774 million.

NXP develops chips used mainly in cars, industrial systems and smart devices. Its automotive division, the company’s largest, saw the slowest growth at 6 percent. The industrial segment performed the strongest, growing by 24 percent.

Looking ahead, NXP expects revenue to increase between 14 and 21 percent in the second quarter.
