Odido will discontinue the Tele2 Thuis internet service on 29 May. The company announced the decision on the Tele2 website. Tele2 merged with T‑Mobile Netherlands in 2023, and both brands now operate under the name Odido. Customers can switch to Odido or choose another provider.
Odido says it is “very logical” to end Tele2 Thuis because the connection will soon be outdated. The company explains that maintaining the service is becoming more expensive and that it cannot prepare the old network for the future.
The company says it has informed customers several times. It will offer them a switch to Odido Internet. If customers take no action, Odido will place them on a new subscription. The switch usually takes about three weeks.
Tele2 will stop invoicing once the Odido subscription starts. Some customers may still receive an invoice before the switch is complete. Odido says it will correct any overpayment on the final invoice in the month after the switch.
