The court in The Hague will hear the case about the alleged preparation of an attack on Princess Amalia and Princess Alexia on 17 August. This became clear on Monday morning during a short session. The suspect, 33‑year‑old Anne Romke van der H., did not attend, and his lawyer stayed away as well.
Prosecutors say Van der H. owned two axes. They state that the axes had the words Alexia, Mossad and Sieg Heil carved into them. They also report finding a handwritten note with the names Amalia and Alexia and the word “bloodbath”. During the hearing, the court added a second suspicion: vandalism in Harlingen.
Police arrested Van der H. in January. They say he shouted threats from the balcony of a hotel in The Hague. He will stay in custody until the August hearing.
