Dutch data protection authority website online following PHP Leak

The Dutch Data Protection Authority (AP) website is back online after being taken down on Wednesday due to vulnerabilities in the PHP programming language.

On Wednesday, a flaw was discovered in PHP, the scripting language behind many websites. A solution—or ‘patch’—was released at around 16:00. As a precaution, numerous sites were taken offline that day until the update could be installed.

The Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers (COA) website was also restored on Thursday. Most central government websites remained fully accessible throughout Wednesday.
